I just thought I would throw a quick link up about a short piece that appeared on the Bitten Blog in the Times today—rings a little too close to home, I’d say [uncomfortable laugh]. “What to do with all of the leftovers?”
I also wanted to remind everyone that it is not too late to start seeds for the Spring garden. Below are two of my all-time favorite resources for heirloom and rare seeds.
I learned about Baker Creek Heirloom seeds a few weeks ago from this lovely lady. Monday, we received our shipment. $30 in seeds, is a LOT of seeds.
Several hours can be spent on these sites—well worth the time investment.
*Isn’t it odd that the only pictures of seed packets available to me in my Flickr, come from a company that isn’t in my favorites list? Nonetheless, Renee’s Garden is quite the respectable seed resource too. In fact, they are one of the only places that I have found, that sell that elusive wild alpine strawberry, Fraises du Bois, that some people swear by as being the best strawberry on the planet. I hear the birds like them too. Heh. These little guys are definitely going in our garden next year.
